Description
About GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys, supplied as a lyophilised research compound with the blue-green colouration characteristic of the intact complex. This copper peptide is used in controlled in-vitro studies of extracellular-matrix signalling, collagen-pathway readouts and peptide-metal coordination chemistry.

Reconstituting and storing GHK-Cu
- Before reconstitution: Store lyophilised vials at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture.
- Equilibrate: Allow vial and diluent to reach room temperature before opening.
- Reconstitute: Add Bacteriostatic Water (10 ml recommended). Swirl gently — do not vortex.
- After reconstitution: Store at 2–8 °C. Prepare aliquots to minimise freeze–thaw cycles.
- Compatibility: Use only within protocols that comply with your institution’s SOPs and local regulations.

GHK-Cu in research
Researchers use GHK-Cu to examine how peptide-metal coordination affects extracellular-matrix biology, including collagen-related transcriptional readouts, fibroblast assays and cell-surface interaction studies. Because the copper(II) centre is integral to activity in these models, this copper peptide is best stored dry and protected from light until immediately before use.
Synthesis and quality assurance
Avanti Peptides manufactures GHK-Cu via controlled, validated solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) to deliver high purity and lot-to-lot consistency. Each batch undergoes identity verification, HPLC purity analysis (≥99%), and appearance inspection before release.
