Description
About Epitalon
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, commonly written AEDG) modelled on a peptide fraction of pineal origin and supplied as a lyophilised research compound. Its compact four-amino-acid sequence makes this AEDG tetrapeptide a convenient reagent for in-vitro work on telomere-associated pathways, cellular senescence markers and chromatin-level responses.
Key features of Epitalon

Reconstituting and storing Epitalon
- Before reconstitution: Store lyophilised vials at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture.
- Equilibrate: Allow vial and diluent to reach room temperature before opening.
- Reconstitute: Add Bacteriostatic Water (10 ml recommended). Swirl gently — do not vortex.
- After reconstitution: Store at 2–8 °C. Prepare aliquots to minimise freeze–thaw cycles.
- Compatibility: Use only within protocols that comply with your institution’s SOPs and local regulations.

Epitalon in research
Researchers examine Epitalon in cell models to interrogate telomere-associated pathways, senescence marker expression, and peptide-nucleic-acid interactions under strictly non-clinical conditions. Its small size and high aqueous solubility mean this AEDG tetrapeptide dissolves readily and is straightforward to aliquot for repeat-dose in-vitro designs.
Synthesis and quality assurance
Avanti Peptides manufactures Epitalon via controlled, validated solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) to deliver high purity and lot-to-lot consistency. Each batch undergoes identity verification, HPLC purity analysis (≥99%), and appearance inspection before release.
